this is my unloading week, so im not doing anything tooooo crazy right now. i did a weird exercise today though:
sandbag complex (around 75 lbs i think?):
1 sandbag clean
2 sandbag jerks
3 sandbag overhead squats
for5 rounds.
the sandbag overhead squats were by far the hardest part because of the close grip that you have to maintain on the bag (maybe a couple inches more than shoulder width)
also, yesterday: MY FIRST MUSCLE UP!!!!!!

Slammed up some new maxes yesterday. all lifts resulted in new personal records.
pretty happy about it.
woke up weighing 165.
definitely in need of some new jeans. squatted to pick something up yesterday and completely blew a seam.
Front squat: 220 (5 lb increase)
Snatch: 125 (15 lb increase)
c & J: 175 (5 lb increase)

morning weigh in: 165 lbs! Still climbing!
today was the first big testing day in the strength cycle.
lifts tested: snatch
clean & jerk
front squat
snatch: 110 (5 lb increase)
c & j: 170 (previously untested)
front squat: 215 (35 lb increase)
feel like this is pretty good considering i was still fried from the week's workouts.
im loving my strength and bodyweight increases.
the downside: i am in dire need of some new jeans.
will post pics soon.

i have been leveling off in bodyweight at around 160-161 pounds. i dont think that this is due to anything other than that i have been eating only enough too sustain body weight without adding much. i plan on increasing my caloric intake agin to try to get ass much out of this program as possible. before this past weekend, i was eating around 4500 to 5000 calories per day, and for the last 5 days i have probably been eating around 3000 per day.
this week has been dedicated to testing for my one rep maxes so that i can set up the program for the strength cycle of mass gain.
so far:
back squat: 240
standing press: 130 (up from 120 before i started the massgain)
jerk: 170
clean :165 (up from 135 before i started mass gain)
seems like not only am i getting bigger but WAY stronger!!!
