PR's!!!!!

had my first PR on a snatch today in a long time. After 2 misses, i hit 145 for a snatch today, only ten pounds under body weight! i would like to have a body weight snatch before i leave for italy for a month, but we shall see.
also, i was so pumped that i started jumping up and down and i badly bruised my right heel. i feel like a real dumbass. hopefully it shouldnt take to long to heal.

injury!

jammed the hell out of my thumb today at wushu. i threw a hook and didnt have a tight thumb. i caught it wrong on the edge of the pad and totally fucked it up. it hurts so bad to move now. i am just worried that this will mess up my olympic lifting training because of the hook grip. we shall see. hopefully it will be better tomorrow.

i completed and "Angie" crossfit workout today in 21:28, one minute less than my previous time. not a huge jump, but i gotta keep moving. no chatting!

Its been awhile


since mass gain, and i have trimmed off a little of the excess weight from the mass gain program.
i have gotten stronger, and my metobolic conditioning has gone up with the introduction of more crossfit.

these days i am weighing in between 157 and 160.
my body composition has become leaner, and i have recently started the zone diet, taking 18 blocks per day with 3 times the prescribed fat intake.

ill try to start posting more often again.
let yall know what is going on.

right now i am doing the olympic lifts 2 days per week, a linear progression program on the benchpress, crossfit 3 days per week, and martial arts 2 days per week.
i am feeling great!

february third. 2008

final max day.
woke up weighing in at 165.
seems like unless i start stuffing my face like crazy again, this is my bodyweight ceiling.
probably should continue to eat big, at least until my weightlifting competition on march 15.
i will be competing inthe 169 lb weight class.
mass gain is now officially over.
maxes today:
c&j: 190 (15 lb increase)
snatch: 130 (5 lb increase)
front squat: 125 (5 lb increase)
soon i will be posting before and after pictures, as well as before and after information on my strength and weight gains.

JANUARY 29 2008

this is my unloading week, so im not doing anything tooooo crazy right now. i did a weird exercise today though:
sandbag complex (around 75 lbs i think?):
1 sandbag clean
2 sandbag jerks
3 sandbag overhead squats

for5 rounds.
the sandbag overhead squats were by far the hardest part because of the close grip that you have to maintain on the bag (maybe a couple inches more than shoulder width)

also, yesterday: MY FIRST MUSCLE UP!!!!!!
